Kintsugi Series 2025/ 2026

Inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi—the practice of repairing ceramics with gold—and by the Wabi-Sabi philosophy that underpins it. These ideas inform both the meaning and the choice of material I work with. My practice incorporates a range of mixed media, including acrylics, inks, textured materials, and artist gold leaf. Additionally, I am experimenting with organic mediums such as marble dust and sand to further enrich the surfaces and textures of my work encouraging an appreciation of imperfection, repair, and transformation.
